The Hoogenweerth Castle Estate: a fairytale place, beautifully renovated, where the hospitality trade is conducted with love for the profession and specialty. Located on a peninsula along the Maas river and surrounded by nearly 4 hectares of park gardens and water. Behind the castle domain are the Maasplassen and a nature reserve.
You can enjoy walking and cycling from the estate. The Sint Pietersberg and ENCI quarry are steps away. The location offers the possibility to rent bicycles. The bustling center of Maastricht is also within easy reach. Stroll through the cozy city center with its many restaurants and boutiques or visit the cultural and historical sights.
Perfect for a wedding or exclusive event
Unique to the Hoogenweerth Castle Estate is that you rent the entire castle for your event, which guarantees absolute privacy. The estate has been designated an official wedding location by the Municipality of Maastricht. The wedding ceremony with the registrar of births, marriages and deaths can therefore be held on the castle grounds.

Parking
There is a parking space for 300 cars on the domain. We have two charging stations for electric cars. As a hotel guest, you can make free use of our private parking directly at the hotel rooms, opposite the Coach House.
Location
Located next to the Provincial House at the Maas river, steps away from MECC (Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Center) and only 5 minutes from the A2 highway and the center of Maastricht. The domain is very easily accessible, near exit 55 and 56 (MECC Maastricht) of the A2 highway with clear signage towards the castle.

Kapelzaal
The Kapelzaal is the oldest part of the castle. This room has been recently renovated, whereby the authentic elements from 1444 have been restored and combined with contemporary modern design. This warm and atmospheric room with a burning fireplace is suitable for dinners, drinks, meetings and parties. A maximum of 54 guests can be seated here, standing 80 guests. The Kapelzaal has free Wi-Fi and a modern climate system with air conditioning for a pleasant temperature on hot and cold days.
Ballroom
The Castle Ballroom is also the largest room. This contemporary room with marble floor is suitable for dinner, parties, meetings and drinks in every kind. It can accommodate 110 guests seated and 200 guests standing. This room also has a DJ booth with a DJ set, built-in speakers and a plug-in connection in the wall. De Ballroom has free Wi-Fi and a modern climate system with air conditioning for a pleasant temperature on hot and cold days.
Bar
The castle’s bar is centrally located in the middle of the castle. This is suitable for small drinks or informal breaks. The bar can accommodate up to 20 guests.
Walled backyard
The walled backyard gives the real authentic castle feeling. The wall of this garden makes it ideal for dinners, ceremonies and drinks. A lovely open, yet sheltered place to linger for hours. Throughout the summer, this garden is provided with an attractive organic tent. This is suitable for groups of up to 200 guests. We can also build beautiful and luxurious tents here for up to 6,000 guests, so we can accommodate even larger groups.
Water Terrace
Unique to our estate is that we are the only location in the Netherlands that is directly connected to the Maas river. This through our attractive and multifunctional water terrace. The terrace is suitable for deliciously extensive lunches, drinks and dinners. This terrace is also pleasant to use in the evenings, thanks to the four large gas fireplaces and atmospheric lighting.

Swimming in skin and environmentally friendly water? The Hoogenweerth Castle Estate makes it possible for its hotel guests.
Enjoy our heated swimming pool all year round, located in the garden opposite the coach house. To preserve nature as much as possible, the water in this pool is purified by a pure-water skin and environmentally friendly water system. As a hotel guest, you can enjoy cooling off and relaxation with a healthy and green heart.
